The first truth
Chrono Clash is a counterpunching game disguised as an action game.
Most punches thrown into neutral space miss, kill your Flow, and can trigger an immediate counter or trap. The champion’s rhythm is simple: read, defend, confirm, punish, reset.
Earn the turn first. Then deliver no more than three clean punish hits before the opponent resets.
Show me the ropes
Controls that become a fighting language
Movement and defense
Attack and time control
Read the glove
Defense is directional—and timing changes its value
Overhand
Duck beneath it. Several dangerous Signatures are overhands and may crush a held guard.
Hook
Dodge away from the incoming hook. The game displays the correct side during the tell.
Straight or body shot
Use the indicated side dodge. Feints require you to wait for the real glove.
Good evade
A successful dodge or duck creates a counter window, restores a little stamina, and adds Chrono and Flow.
Perfect evade
Defend late enough that the movement is still fresh at impact. The longer punish window, greater resource gain, and Star generation make this the core high-level skill.
Perfect Guard
Tap into guard during the roughly 0.15-second parry window before a normal punch lands. You spend only four stamina and earn an immediate Perfect counter.
Signature warning
Guard-breaking Signatures ignore the Perfect Guard solution. When the game warns DODGE SIGNATURE ATTACKS, believe it.
Make the opening count
Fast hands are useful. Deliberate hands win.
Left jab
Fastest, cheapest, and ideal for testing a short window or starting an alternating combination.
Right cross
Slower but heavier. Use it after a confirmed recovery or as the second strike in a clean punish.
Body punch
Required for several Signature weaknesses. It is also a strong answer against armored and guard-heavy opponents.
Uppercut
Expensive and slower, but gains extra damage during recovery. It is less efficient while enemy armor remains.
The three-hit punish rule
An exposed opponent accepts up to three clean hits before the fight forcibly resets the exchange. Take the guaranteed damage, then return to defense. The unsafe fourth punch is where counter specialists make their living.
Manage the timeline
Stars finish fights. Chrono saves reads. Flow creates avalanches.
Stars
Perfect counters and weakness breaks build Stars, up to three. A one-Star punch is powerful only inside an opening. With three Stars and the opponent at roughly 24% health or lower, it becomes the cinematic Chrono Finisher.
Chrono pips
Chrono Weave costs one pip. Used during a tell or active attack, it automatically chooses the correct evade, freezes the attack into recovery, and grants a long Perfect punish. Mis-time it and you lose stamina.
Flow
Perfect defense, counter chains, Signature evades, style combinations, and weakness breaks fill Flow. Reaching 100 automatically triggers Rush.
Chrono Rush
Five seconds of faster punches, 28% extra damage, and a major score multiplier. The ideal sequence is: weakness break → Rush → three-hit punish → knockdown or finisher.
Choose your corner
Four viable play styles
The Counter Technician
Defend late, confirm the opening, and answer with two clean alternating punches. Safest route to Perfects, Stars, and S grades.
The Pressure Stylist
Exploit the four-action buffer, alternate hands, and mix attack levels. Pressure lives inside earned openings—not in neutral.
The Chrono Specialist
Keep at least one pip for the difficult Signature in every late-circuit fight. Convert Weave into weakness breaks instead of ordinary damage.
The Score Chaser
Extend counter chains, trigger every style bonus once per string, break every Signature, launch Rush before knockdowns, and protect your post-fight grade.
Build a leaderboard run
The highest scores reward mastery, not merely survival
Three alternating hands.
Four alternating strikes with at least two attack levels.
Five alternating strikes using head, body, and uppercut variety.
Earned when the qualifying combination is completed with Perfect timing.
Must land inside a real opening.
Three Stars against a badly hurt opponent.
Raw punch score scales with damage, combo length, counter-chain length, and Rush. Signature evades, Perfect Guard, Chrono Weave, weakness breaks, knockdowns, and victory all add direct awards. Deeper opponents make weakness breaks more valuable.
Health, Perfects, parries, weakness breaks, Signature evades, combo quality, and style bonuses raise the grade. Damage taken, player knockdowns, and slow fights lower it. KO victories receive a stronger grade bonus than decisions.

Survive the long fight
Rounds, stamina, knockdowns, and decisions
Three 90-second rounds
Between rounds you regain 25 health and full stamina. The opponent also recovers part of his health, so a nearly finished fighter should be pressed safely before the bell.
Stamina discipline
Punches cost 2–6 stamina. Guarding slows regeneration from roughly 10 per second to 4. Release guard during safe space and never let a Signature turn the stamina bar into a liability.
Knockdown recovery
Three player knockdowns end the bout. Mash during the count; stronger mashing produces an earlier rise and more recovery health.
Decision math
After three rounds, the higher remaining health percentage wins. When ahead, stay active but stop donating damage to unnecessary trades.

Opponent dossiers
Every fighter follows a deterministic style pattern and owns one Signature Attack. The strategies below reveal the correct defense, the weakness timing, and the safest corner plan.
Opening Circuit
01 Tofu TanakaJapan · The Still Water Tutorial technician
A shoulder dip announces the measured cross. His Signature adds a double snap of the headband.
Second-Hand Cross
Duck
Strike during the second tick of the Signature tell. Any punch works.
Use Tofu to learn discipline. Dodge the calm jabs, wait for the slower cross, and answer with a two- or three-hit alternating combination. During Second-Hand Cross, do not bite on the first headband snap; punch through the second.
02 Dijon DujardinFrance · The Mime Reactive counterpuncher
He wants you to whiff. His invisible slap and body counter are reactions to reckless offense.
Fourth Wall Flurry
Dodge right, then body punch
The weakness opens during recovery. The required punish is a body shot.
Never lead while Dijon is idle. Make him commit, evade, then work the ribs. Against the Signature, slip to your right through the invisible wall and wait until the pose begins; a low left or right body shot shatters the illusion.
03 Oleg VoltIceland · The Thunderborn Power slugger
His topknot snaps before the crushing right hand. The Signature charges it with light.
Thunderclap
Duck
Punch during the charged tell. Any punch can break the Signature.
Oleg is slow enough to read but punishes hesitation. Duck every overhand instead of absorbing it on the guard. Bank a Star from a Perfect counter, then spend it only after he enters recovery or hurt state.
04 Kid ZoomAustralia · Minor Circuit Champion Flurry specialist
Left-left-right pressure gives way to a delayed sunset hook. The Signature fills the ring with pink afterimages.
Hyperlap Rush
Dodge left
Survive the rush, then counter during recovery with any punch.
Do not try to win every beat. Use short defensive reads, preserve stamina, and punish the delayed hook. During Hyperlap Rush, track the real fighter returning to center; strike only after the afterimages finish.
Major Circuit
05 Maximilian SteamGermany · The Furnace Armored pressure fighter
The furnace opens before the piston sequence. Both gauges turn red before the Signature.
Boiler Overdrive
Dodge right, then body punch
The weakness is inside the Signature tell and requires a body shot.
His guard absorbs ordinary damage, so prioritize Perfect counters and body work. Uppercuts lose efficiency while armor remains. When both gauges glow red, drive a body punch into the center before Boiler Overdrive launches.
06 Ravi Rumble RaoIndia · King of the Beat Rhythm boxer
His offense lands on a repeating downbeat. The Signature pauses the equalizer just before the drop.
Final Downbeat
Dodge left
Punch the brief silence during the Signature tell. Any punch works.
Count the cadence instead of watching every glove. Defend beat one, defend beat three, and be ready for the spin. The equalizer pause is the safest weakness cue in the circuit—attack the silence, not the noise.
07 Khalid Heat-HazeU.A.E. · The Mirage Maker Feint specialist
The ghost arm is decoration. The solid glove is the attack that matters.
Mirage Monsoon
Dodge left, then body punch
Ignore the bright ghost, evade the real glove, and punish the body during recovery.
Hold your input through the first motion. His feint converts into a real strike after a second tell, so early dodges expire before contact. Against the Signature, confirm the solid glove, evade left, then go downstairs.
08 Vico VoltaicBrazil · Major Circuit Champion Counter and spin specialist
He punishes greed, then over-rotates. The third ribbon identifies the real Signature spin.
Voltaic Carnival
Dodge right
Counter during recovery when his back turns. Any punch works.
Limit normal openings to two or three hits and reset. Do not throw into neutral. During the Carnival, count three ribbons, evade right, and strike as his rotation carries him away from you.
World Circuit
09 Anuket the OracleEgypt · The Long Horizon Long-range reader
The painted eye flashes before his hook. The third eye closes before the Signature eclipse.
Eclipse of Fate
Duck
Strike during the darkness of the Signature tell. Any punch works.
Respect his reach and do not chase. Let the attack come to you, duck the eclipse, and counter immediately. Blocking the Signature can drain Chrono, so preserve at least one pip for a Weave when the pace accelerates.
10 Steppe SukhMongolia · The Endless Steppe Body-crushing grappler
Read the shoulder rather than the gloves. His elbows spread like wings before the Signature.
Sky Eagle Crush
Dodge right, then body punch
The opening is during the Signature tell and requires a body shot.
His body attacks are designed to destroy guard stamina. Use directional evades, not passive blocking. When the elbows spread, spear the exposed center with a body punch before the Eagle descends.
11 Master MantisChina · The Patient Claw Trap specialist
The open guard is bait. A finger twitch reveals the real claw counter.
Thousand Claw Trap
Dodge left, then body punch
Wait through the green claw fan and punish low during recovery.
Mantis is a test of restraint. Any neutral punch can activate his trap. Defend the first motion, wait for the fan to finish, then body-punch the narrow stance. Keep your combination deliberate; queued panic inputs are exactly what he wants.
12 Apex AndersUnited States · World Champion Adaptive champion
His visor scans three times before turning red. The power right follows the final scan.
Redline Omega
Duck
Punch on the final red scan during the Signature tell. Any punch works.
Apex cycles jab, body pressure, and the Redline right, then accelerates at 65% and 30% health. Keep one Chrono pip in reserve, use Perfect Guard on normal shots, and duck the guard-breaking Signature. Do not confuse faster rhythm with new patterns—the tells remain the same.
Anomaly Bout
13 MirageUnknown · The Signal Beneath the Noise Glitch composite
Every attack begins with a glitch flicker. The Signature opens a bright doorway inside the static.
Signal Collapse
Duck, then body punch
Drive a body punch through the doorway during the Signature tell.
Mirage combines fast borrowed attacks with severe resource damage. Guarding Signal Collapse can drain stamina, Chrono, and Flow at once. Save Chrono Weave for uncertain reads, keep the action queue short, and take the body weakness the instant the static doorway forms.
Before the bell
Champion's checklist
- Know whether the dangerous attack needs a duck or side dodge.
- Know whether the weakness accepts any punch or specifically requires a body shot.
- Keep enough stamina to move through the Signature.
- Stop after three punish hits and reset.
- Save three Stars when the opponent approaches finisher range.
- Preserve one Chrono pip for the final health phase.
- Release guard between attacks so stamina recovers quickly.
- Stay active enough to avoid the referee’s stalling penalty.
The circuit is not won by faster hands.
It is won by clearer reads.
